Over the course of two days, participants focused not on theory but on practical solutions already delivering results in local communities. They explored approaches to working with international donors, strengthening energy resilience, supporting veterans and internally displaced persons (IDPs), and fostering collaboration between local governments, businesses, and universities.
Particular attention was given to the experiences of Zhytomyr and Zviahel in building effective systems for attracting international technical assistance. The delegation learned about projects implemented with the support of international partners, visited modern infrastructure facilities, and met with representatives of local authorities, educational institutions, and businesses who shared their experience in designing and implementing development initiatives.
One of the most valuable practical case studies was a visit to the Zviahelkhlib bakery. The delegation explored the company’s modern production processes, management practices, and corporate culture. Visits like this help communities not only learn from successful examples but also identify new opportunities for cooperation with local businesses.
The study visit provided participants with practical tools that can be applied immediately. The successful case studies, new partnerships, and hands-on approaches to working with international donors will serve as a foundation for developing new recovery and community development projects across Kryvyi Rih Raion.
The study visit was organized within the framework of the KRYTSIA: Support for the Recovery of Kryvyi Rih Raion project, implemented with the support of LuxDev, the Luxembourg Development Agency, in partnership with Proman and the National Development Institution (NDI).
